The Postwar V-2 Decal Set

Spacemonkey Models

Regular price $12.95 Sale

Featuring nine different variants for the V-2 ballistic missile and sounding rocket, a set of these decals are included with each copy of our new Postwar V-2 model kit.  If you already have the earlier (2010) version of the Spacemonkey Models V-2 kit you may wish to add this new decal set to your collection.

These decals also work exceptionally well on the classic 1/25 scale flying V-2 model rocket kit from Estes.  A template for improving the non-scale fin shape of the Estes kit is also included.

Seven of these represent flights that occurred at the White Sands Proving Ground (known today as the White Sands Missile Range):

TF-1 (Training Flight 1)

Operation Sandy was the first attempt by the U.S. Navy to launch a complex liquid fueled rocket from the deck of a ship at sea.

The final option takes us beyond the United States to the postwar Soviet Union, where Sergei Korolev led efforts to redevelop the V-2 into the R-1 that country’s first ballistic missile.

Included is a finishing and decal application guide complete with paint recommendations and detailed drawings for each of the eight marking variants, allowing you to paint the roll patterns accurately.
